Cardinale corset

First appearing in the Vivienne Westwood Autumn-Winter 1987/88 Harris Tweed collection, the corset reveals how Vivienne originally subverted the classic corset structure, worn by high society women of eighteenth-century salon culture. This season, the Cardinale corset is offered in this season’s ‘Bizarre’ design, complete with a concealed zip fastening instead of lacing, to modernise the historical style.
